Ive not voted yet, leaving it last min, was a bit dissapointed in cwu during last round of strikes, considering how much money us members have lost to these strikes how many saturdays did we strike? what did we have 18 to 20 days of strikes, i can only think of 1 or 2 saturdays max we striked, you would think if cwu valued and listened to their members they would put in more saturdays as strike days give the guys a weekend off to spend to go see a football match or whatever, was a lot of wednesday, thursday, fridays, go on union give us some saturdays off least u can do

What is the point of striking on a day that is traditionally lighter than the others? On a Saturday there are no collection duties so striking on a Thursday or Friday is more disruptive.

The changes are mostly ok from my point of view and I’m only here to get paid.

You are not a union member, so this is one thread where your view is completely and utterly irrelevant. You aren't prepared to pay to have your chance to have a say on the union's actions.

Works both ways though, if he has no say in union actions , union members should have no say in non union members working which a lot seem to do with their childish actions like refusing to speak to them

I am not aiming this comment at anyone, I am not being critical of any person individually but I would like to say that there are always people who will let others do the dirty work whilst standing back and watching them do it and thinking themselves clever for not doing it themselves whilst happily joining in and taking part in the positive results of the efforts of others and there will always be people who are willing to go without a little in the hope that they are working towards a greater good that all will benefit from.
It has always been this way, you just have to think which direction you feel most comfortable with before you decide your actions.

If you vote No or we end up losing this dispute at least you know what's coming . Just don't blame the union .

Shoulda been more clear i was talking about saturday strike days i have already returned my yes vote.

Whilst my opinion is that the CWU is far from perfect, this job without a union will be absolutely horrendous. I’ve worked in places prior without any union representation, and how this job is - god help us if the union is defeated.

Why vote Yes to embolden the Union to continue to be intransigent? I cannot even tell what the Union have conceded in all these months of talks and negotiations. Yet it will s RM that you s copping all the flack!

Some in my office have also voted Yes but says they will not strike next week - due to Union incompetence in announcing just a day's strike and it is still not clear to most what days the strike is or for how long.

Just a waste of a day's wage - why rush that particular strike date and then nothing for weeks after? The Union is playing with our wages using very dubious tactics that are more of a gesture or political or about being in the news.

Why this obsession with Simon - just get a deal with the the devil you know now because the one after will definitely not waver on the changes... And by that time, the situation might be so dire and unpredictable...

How often do we say on here, I'd love to see managers or Simon Thompson do a full day on my delivery?

The reality is, this is a difficult job and it only suits people with a very specific skillset. The physicality alone sees to that.
