Yes terrifying2yearpostie wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 20:12I dont want to be in the companies crosshairs 6 months down the line where they start finding reasons to dismiss people who did strike.Gasman11 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 20:06That'll be the new contract if the proposed changes are implemented, something that would be far likelier to happen unless we all take a stance against their ill conceived plans. Challenge yourself for a change and join the fight to say enough is enough, we deserve a decent pay rise.

All very presumptuous that, would be some going to sack 100,000 staff in one fell swoop.

Bit of a difference sacking 100,000 compared to the 800 at P&O. Stay strong mate and join the fight.

Re: Strike days on rest Day...are we paid?
No they won't! That would mean they've got a day off on a strike day and will get paid. More likely they'll rota them on the working days so if they want to strike they will not be getting paid1560loopsayear wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 15:03Managers will be quick on the rostas now shafting the reserves/newly started who don't have a duty & rotating day off... making sure that their day off will be on the announced strike days.

Unless you have a special written contract which I find unlikely, there are two things that override this claim.2yearpostie wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 19:53It doesnt, it says i will be required to work at XXXXXXXXX office.Clappedoutpostie wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 19:47Why should they, your contract says u could be required to goto any office.2yearpostie wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 19:42Thats mad, im sure theyd get more people working if the normal office was open, they are pushing people who want to work into not being able to work!jessicarabbit wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 19:26Sorry mate the call with the CoMs was very clear. If you want to work got to go to a hub. Ask tomorrow and you'll get confirmation
Lets hope they are providing transport then ( as someone on the Sunday working thread said)
The collective agreements on flexibility that allow posties to be moved to a different office.
My 18-year-old contract had a clause about being moved to a different office temporarily if required.
Also, that answers your previous question about trolling or having a different opinion. Everyone has an opinion, it's how you present it that determines if you are a troll or not.

Re: Strike days on rest Day...are we paid?
FYI I’m one of only 5 who went on strike in 2009 also I’ve been trying to get people to strike since this campaign started, out of about 40 at our office it seems like only 6 or 7 will strike anyway, last time I lost a days pay and other people covered my walk by going in, I’m not boasting at all I will be off whenever it isaiden01 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022, 21:29Do the lottery on saturday your guaranteed to be the sole winner. take it you wont be near office on strike days as your on leave im sure your colleagues will be delighted that you wont be losing as much as them but esp BOASTING ABOUT IT FFS GROW UP your either in or out.
