The Lord Faulkner Review is ongoing , in line with the process the CWU and Royal Mail have submitted there generic submissions to the review.

A zoom call was heard this week with all those individuals and Branch’s who have chosen to be put into the review.

There is now an agreed list of the first cases to be heard and each of this cases a submission is being written to be provided along with all the relevant paperwork.

Remember Royal Mail are still paying individuals who have been dismissed since the agreement was first reached on the Faulkner review.

Unfortunately in any process like this , timescales are always lengthy in terms of gathering information, submissions.

Getting justice for those reps and members remains a key priority but dealing with 200 plus cases is time consuming and cannot be done overnight. This is huge piece of work for everyone , including Lord Faulkner and his team and will take some time.

Branch’s will be updated on this early next week.

Can i ask how Royal Mail are still paying wages as being dismissed your contract of employment has been terminated?
Any links to the Faulkner review agreement that states this?
If dismissed employees are receiving contracted salary, if the dismissal is upheld, will they have to pay that money back?

I know people dismissed or forced out (writing was on the wall they were going to get sacked on trumped up charges) before the agreement. They have had jack s++t pay for months or help from the union. Our union rep is trying to get them to down the route of constructive dismal. He's not happy with the lack of helpful support from the union. Stupid feckers in the cwu cant even fill in a appeal form for the courts properly.

We still need to stay in the union.

You can only claim constructive dismissal while still employed under a contract of employment and only have three months from dismissal to bring a claim.

They are actually getting away with it doing it this way. Instead of 10 frames with mail not being delivered, there will be 3 frames. Then the postie can divdide the delivery up day to day

Didn't think of it that way, yeah so in effect for example two months ago 12 walks failed, last month only 9 this month miraculously only 6, looks good on paper, 50% improvement until you realise f**k all more actually got delivered
