My understanding of IA is that the union ask you to withdraw your labour, they don’t force you as that would be illegal, your employer has a legal duty to let you work in a safe environment.sindba wrote: ↑15 Sep 2022, 23:31shaunman wrote: ↑15 Sep 2022, 22:47I know it’s never been done before, but if there’s an agreement of no confrontation for people working, then you could just turn up when you wanted. Royal Mail wouldn’t know who would turn up and when. So for example I would work Tuesday and Friday, my mate is doing well and would just work Mondays, my other mate who has just had a baby needs the money so he will work Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. People would still have annual leave, people could go sick if they have covid symptoms or stomach bugs. It would be absolute carnage![]()
Christ alive.
Seriously has this forum been spammed with management trolls?
"Work when you want! Hungover? Don't bother! Want some cash? Pop in and do a few parcels! Do what you like, who cares!"
Yeah, that's how IA works.
If there was continuous IA then YES you could just work when YOU needed to. Royal Mail wouldn’t be able to plan, mail and parcels would build up.
Some people can afford to last months without pay, some people may need to work some days every week. Just because it’s a different way doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I guess you think like that as you’re a sheep.
I’m not sure how these individual or 2 day strikes are going to stop the continued attack on our terms and conditions and Royal Mail imposing executive action.
