Some of the people I work with don't appear to own any of their own clothes.

I was looking forward to counting the Harringtons.
Because they are wearing their work uniform at.......work?!

I've still got a tank top, from when I first started. Still think they're the best bit of uniform we ever got given. It's gotta be 30yr old now. Its getting pretty threadbare now, so it only comes out for special occasions. I would've worn it for this.

why the hell cant we wear our uniform ? as someone said a sea of red would have been awesome !
Would have been better to say don't wear uniform - wear red.

I don't have a pink coat, I would look like Dame Edna Everage.

To anyone from CWU HQ reading this

Please update this ( and any other branches pages with the same wrong info )

This is part of why there has been confusion over this issue

https://cwu-cctv.org/royal-mail-group-d ... -2022-1pm/

''We also ask that as many members as possible come to London in uniform so we can create a sea of red outside the iconic Parliament buildings.''
So no uniform then , afraid I have nothing pink in my wardrobe, only my arse !!
Please wear some pants it’s going to be cold

There's no coaches being organised for us so we'll have to pay a fair bit to get there. If it's just standing in Parliament Square listening to speeches, it probably won't even make the news. If we march through London disrupting traffic, it will make the news and might be worth paying the train fare to take part. Is it just a rally or is it a march too?

I love the sound of the phrase 'Counting the Harringtons' for some reason. I'll have to use that.

Perhaps the company doesn't want the media filled with images of their employees in the the tattered rags that have yet to be replaced by the new uniform which is currently being held to ransom.
The machine stops.

The branches are buying train tickets depending where you are in the country. Ask your rep!

It's not until 1pm.... go up and see the sights....

bring your sound system to the 1pm rally so we can party!

then go out and watch the Netherlands v Argentina down the pub.

CWU displays fear.

Don't wear uniform on march, it might upset Thompson.

Pathetic.

Thats quite a take

Its to protect us and minimise the chances of them using anything they can to discipline us ( or worse )

The uniform belongs and supplied by the employer to wear at work during duty time.

It is not some sort of political symbol to wear on your days off protesting against that employer without prior authorisation.
