Trainee Manager Pay Rate
Basic pay £467.20 x 52 = £24,294.40, sub (5 days) £118.93 x 52 = £6184.36, basic + sub = £30,478.76 salary.
£30,478.76 / 52 weeks = 586.13 a week / 41 hours = £14.30 which is £1.67 an hour more than basic wage as a postie.
Compare that to the roles we cover who are on £18.76 an hour. Is the value of our labour really £4.46 an hour less than the role we cover? Is the £1.67 worth the grief and responsibility? I would like to hear what other people think.

i've been saying this for years. We do the exact same job as colleagues who earn £40k a year, hows that fair?

Don't forget you do not get paid subs for when you are on A/L!!!!!
Trainee Manager of 56 years
good point I forgot to add that into my calculations so subtract 4.5 weeks of substitution, which is £535.19, bringing the total salary to £29,943.57.

Don't forget the bonus scheme COM's have, and incentive payments for not going sick through I/A

we most definitely do COM work. Matter of fact many trainee managers work harder and do more than the COMs their working alongside. The only thing holding people back is the lack of resources given to us and people believing we are not doing the same work as them

It’s an utter disgrace!!! Argued this point loads of times and no one is interested just keep getting fobbed off!
