I'll make sure I get me google maps on the go so I can see the best possible route!..
How many streets do you usually cover then when delivering?
Difficult to say to be honest, it all depends on density of housing, length of streets and mail profiles. You might be on a long street with lots of houses like a council estate but with a relatively low number of letters. Or you could be in a short street that has long drives (commuter belt type area) and a lot of mail for every house.

Yes thats about average although I have had 13 for one delivery once and 2 on a very quiet day for another delivery.

Again depends on the mail profile of the area but normally pouches each take between 30 minutes and an hour to deliver - on average about 40 minutes.
mrtuk28 wrote:plus does it make more sense to walk up one side of a road first then back down the other?
Again depends on the street, I do one area that 1 zig zag down because its on a hill, but another is flat so I do up one side and down the other. The over-riding factor "for me" is the amount of dead walking.
