Thank you Mr.Barker for taking the time to read these postings. Maybe you will glean a better understanding of the prevailing sentiment and feeling of your Crown colleagues. Many of us feel so undervalued neglected and forgotten by our company and our Senior Management.
We,the employees of this company, are its singular most important asset!!!!!Forget this crucial fact and no matter what plans and ambitions are attempted in the months ahead they risk being stifled by dispute and industrial action.

To be blunt, they don't give a shite. The PLAN is to franchise/sell off/close, (you choose the term, they all mean the same thing to us counter staff), at least 100 more crowns. There will be no dispute in that. They announce the list and with a minimum of ten weeks notice those offices will close.

The redundancy terms will never be like they were before so expect to be shafted on that front if you think you are gonna go on 2 years pay etc!! :no no :d'oh!

Still, there is some good news, think ahead and make your orders for shedloads of extra Sterling and Forex in the next month or two.. if you get my drift... :whistle

Just a point for Billy, a new MTSF was agreed in October 2010 that applies to all grades who work for RMG and it still states upto 2 years payoff :dance

Ever heard the word 'obfuscation'? It is the "concealment of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, intentionally ambiguous, and more difficult to interpret." This is POL's new weapon. Watch this space...

I didn't know that - the latest version I can find is on the CWU Website: http://www.cwu.org/assets/_files/docume ... F_2009.pdf

And says it is valid from May 2009. Can anyone enlighten me please?

I downloaded it from this link http://www.cwu.org/ltb-1028/10-new-mtsf-agreement.html

Included in the LTB is a pdf link for the agreement.

Very happy to discuss anything about pay face-to-face, but not on an anonymous and public forum. Richard

Why so rude? I would be very happy to meet and not only discuss pay but also prove my identity. Richard

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

And i'll confirm my £16 K per annum which puts me at £11k below the average wage, so you see how we might view things from a different perspective :chuckle

Be as believable that "rwbarker" actually reads and post
On this forum.

P*ss off you Wan*ker!!!
This is offensive and completely uncalled for. And perhaps more to the point devalues the cause of those of us who genuinely believe that our leadership is poor. We should be arguing on points of fact in a civilised way.

And Mr Barker, this is a discussion forum. If you are not prepared to discuss issues here, and I actually think it would be highly unprofessional of you to do so, then you should remain silent.
