Ah, I can help with this one. Stick your finger out, bend over and shove it up your arse whilst singing the national anthem. Go out and deliver and pretend everything is normal and fine.

There could be a hurricane and this lot would expect you out on delivery.

Last time we had predicted 40mph+ winds, within an hour of arriving to work we were told we could go home because it was too dangerous.

If they did it then - then they should surely do it again if the forecast is correct for our area. If on Thursday morning it's blowing a gale, I expect them to let us go home. I don't want a tree falling on me.

It should be at least no letters. We just put mulch through peoples doors that last one.

But they wouldn't pay you for that days work now.

They're probably not allowed to make that decision, probably has to be cleared by someone higher up the food chain

Heavy rain and potentially dangerous winds for all of the southern parts of England, you shouldn’t be delivering in that.

Make sure it's their decision to let you go home then you won't owe them anything. I would just stay in the office and do any work that might be around. If they give you the option to go home and you take it then you will owe them the time back.

Presumably there will be high level national and regional meetings going on right now regarding the impact of tomorrow's weather storm.

Last time we had a red weather alert - danger to life.
