RMCtv : Customer Preference - Accessibility Needs

Post by POSTMAN »

Customer Preference - Accessibility Needs

Please see this short clip with John Herbet (Workplace Coach) & Richard Attoe (Deployment Lead), regarding Accessibility Needs.

Customers will be able to register an Accessibility Need of ‘knock louder’ and/or ‘wait longer’ via the Royal Mail App or Customer Experience.

Accessibility needs will be available on the PDA for all Barcoded items from 25th Sep 2023

This is an Ofcom regulatory requirement which all parcel carriers must follow from 1st November 2023
Reminder: WTL&L once completed, each individual must be entered in PSP

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Open their morning fresh, put it in the fridge for them and sample the cooked results scoring on a scale of 1 to 5, but moving constantly like you have an itchy arse to stop being yellow dotted. :dance

Giving too much choice to indecisive people is the root of the problem.

Thing with all this customer preference stuff, it's just what posties used to do.

When we had time to get to know our own rounds and customers, we'd know that Mrs Miggins has mobility issues, Mr Scroggins leaves the side door open for his parcels etc etc.

It was Royal Mail that decided we'd be better as just another knock, drop and run courier.

"Wait longer", they can dream on if they think that'll happen, delivery staff don't have the time
