So I'm wondering what's the criteria for a parcel to be delivered on a Sunday ? Do we have specific customers that have given us their work with Sunday delivery as part of the contract or do we simply blast everything through that's a 24hr item ?

If it's the latter then perhaps that should be addressed as it's an obvious loss making part of the business.
Any Tracked 24 that arrives in an Sunday LAT office is due for delivery that day, until about a year ago it was only for certain contracts/customers but now it’s literally any Tracked 24 even the ones sent from Post Offices. You get a better and cheaper service now by using Tracked 24 over Special Delivery.
And then all they do is scan them as inaccessible on a Sunday so when you go round on the Monday customers are confused as they have received messages saying

Sunday:
Out for delivery
Inaccessible

Monday:
Out for delivery

Yet they tell you they were around on the Sunday and why did they receive an inaccessible message, somehow you’re supposed to answer that although the business wants to take on all this work they don’t have the staff to deliver it (much like every other day of the week then) so delivery wasn’t even attempted but a manager decided to scan them as whole lot as inaccessible!!!!

When 90% of conversations related to this result in managers bullying/harassing - why bother doing it.

You go to a manager in our place and say you can't complete the response is - 'why, you have gaps in your frame, X person could achieve this, I want it all delivered!'.... when it's absolutely impossible that you will be able to complete in your time....

Then when you come back with mail at the end of the day and tell them the response is - 'this isn't good enough, why didn't you complete, it was a light day'... or some b0||@x like that.

and they do this to people who come in and do their best, are efficient and good workers.

The whole point in reporting back to them is so they can either get someone else to go back out with it or report it as failed. Yet it's more about having a go at posties and falsely claiming they aren't good or fast enough.
That crap from any manager is bad news. Personally I would beat the xxxx out of anybody who spoke of tried to treat me !like a clown. Or hold back wages that I've worked for. How anybody can stand and take that off any manager, especially a RM misfit is beyond me.

I always send stuff tracked24 over Special for my ebay stuff. Since they raised the compo on t24 it's a no brainer.

It's about time that RM had the foreign specials going back over to Tracked. With the new parcel scanning system, it just needs HWDC to apply a 2D barcode to them, and then they can be scanned to the yorks/sleeves by the inward MC. they'd then get scanned into the DOs automatically when the yorks/sleeves arrive at the DOs.

Some foreign specials now get a scan when they get handed over to customs (not just USPS any more) and again when customs release them.

It seems so many in our office just bring stuff back and put it straight back in the frame without letting anyone know.

Is this risky?
Yes, managers have to report any failures.
Well our manager has gone home by 215 so quite a few just bring a couple of bundles back every day, he is none the wiser and failed walks are clearly not getting reported, another cover up
Aye, we are told to take it out all out. People that don’t want Ot say then they need 10-15mins per tray of mail to put it back in so have to finish earlier than if it was left. Managers seem to prefer this as when they are on the phone they can say it’s cleared I guess.. absolutely ridiculous.

I was thinking this, it’s cheaper and as doesn’t need sig it’s more likely to be delivered. Why do people pay for specials?
