With what is coming you simply won’t have a choice other than to use a lwt.
Every loop will be 2 bags worth of stuff.
With longer delivery spans and heavier bags every single day of every month you’d have to ask why wouldn’t you use them ?
Because for the ‘ macho men ‘ the word trolly is a swear word. I will be using one when this crap comes in.
I worked with someone that would take parcels out of their bag so they didn’t have to use a trolley and then drive around that same bag to do them there was me using mine and taking parcels and then going round their bags with their parcels
I know years ago trolleys were slower with how many parcels we had but I’m not so sure about that now.
You’re not saving any time if you still have to go around the same loop again. Might as well use the lwt and save yourself some pain.
Using a trolley so you can fit more into your bag(s) and not have to carry heavy weight = slow.
Carrying a heavy bag around a larger loop = awkward and uncomfortable and may mean you can't fit extra parcels inside cos of all the mail so you have to drive them round = slow.
Why not simply cut your loops in half and carry a manageable bag and also be able to fit more parcels in your bag. Yes you have to stop and grab a bag out of the back of the van more often but how long does that take....seconds. Setting up a trolley takes time....doing parcels separately takes time.

The idiots not using a trolly wont do this, they’d rather carry a heavy bag,or even two bags on their shoulders. Good idea to cut the loops in half, but why help the fcukers who want to implement this. Insist on using a trolly, take less out or bring it back and let it fail. Setting up a trolly only takes seconds btw, if you’ve bagged the loops up before you go out properly.

Probably because your nice new electric van will be toast within 6 months lol. Broken and unable to be towed. Who's guarding the mail integrity whilst waiting for 6 hours for the flatbed recovery? Because I'm going home.
All our LWTs were chucked in the skip years ago!!!!!!!!!!!
Just ponder for a moment the money that went into producing untold thousands of LWTs for the implementation of P&L only for 99% of them to land in a skip... and then fifteen years later we'll need to have them manufactured all over again.
Martin was on here in the non-drivers thread talking about bringing back bikes! FFS, they were binned like the LWTs before them. In so many ways I've been in the job long enough to see things cycle out of and back into operation.

Given that no one bothered to use them before, will RM risk having them made when they might still not be used?
Use an LWT. Has to be done. If they want to triple the load, let them realise that tripling the load slows you down.
Who else works in an area full of dog sh!t? Even when people have tried to pick it up, enough is often left to attach to the trolley wheels then to be transferred to everything else inside the van. Bleeding nightmare where you absolutely have to use the things.

Well there are stairs on part of my walk so I couldn’t use an LWT there however, they will be mashing 4 walks into 3. Who knows where I will be walking? So I shall be taking an LWT. It’s my physical health and they won’t care when I have to go off sick.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

We had a revision in October, they provided us with brand new trolleys, nobody uses them.

There's going to be a good few people who'll be easy pickings for excess sick. If they're not using a trolley and they're supposed to be, if they injure themselves, it'll be an instant blameworthy.

Yet another example of you not understanding how delivery works, nobody has ever been pulled up for not using a trolly and going sick.

Whether it's in a DO or a MC is irrelevant. If someone doesn't use the equipment that they're supposed to be using it'll be a blameworthy.

Trollies were never made mandatory across the board.
Most people who started in the last 10 years have probably never laid eyes on one never mind been trained to use one.

You would know this if you worked in delivery.
Irrelevant. If they have the use of a trolley available to them and they don't use it and injure themselves it'll be a blameworthy.
