Did they up the amount you get it was mentioned in on one of the cwu youtube vids.

Not been agreed but trying to get it up to a years pay which is still less than last time if you include the 6k on top of the 9 months pay

I think it would end up very similar. Pay is about 26k for a full time post person without delivery supplement for a year.

9 months vr pay would be about 19,700. Plus the bonus last time would have been a about 25,700.

26K for a 40 hour contract as a Delivery postie is a genuinely terrible wage for the workload/shift pattern. f***ing utterly disgraceful tbh

So if it's 2600 quoted that would get VR then what that be an even percentage per office? I work in an office or around 120 staff, probably 40 are more senior to me so would we be talking a small percentage of that would get the offer? I'm not sure how this would work across all the offices and staff they have across the board.
I know I certainly wouldn't be offered it I wouldn't have thought.

I’m surprised at this figure of 2,600 across the business. I wonder if this low number is deliberately being bandied about so as to make people think it ain’t worth hanging around to see if they get it. If they’d said for example 20,000 redundancies then everyone thinking of going would be staying to wait for it to be given. By giving such a low number I reckon the business are banking on staff who want to go will just think “ah sod it, I’m not hanging around in the hope of VR, I’ll just go now”. That way they get a reduction in head count with no cost

RM appear to have put a total block on recruitment, if turnover of staff is usually around 10% p.a. that'll be around 10,000 staff not be replaced.

I think the CWU said the VR allocated is linked to the amount available for pay rise, more VRs less for the staff left.
