Hamilton postie delivers for charity with fundraiser for NHS

Gordon Park put his best foot forward as part of Royal Mail West of Scotland Heroes Day.

A Hamilton postman certainly delivered when he raised money for NHS Charities Together.

Gordon Park put his best foot forward as part of Royal Mail West of Scotland Heroes Day, whose aim is to support local heroes throughout Glasgow and the west.

He first collected money from his fellow colleagues in the Hamilton delivery office but then went a step further and decorated his postie trolley and set off on his day.

Through generous donations from staff and many of Gordon’s regular customers he managed to raise the amazing sum of £650.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said: “Gordon raised a fabulous £650 which we hope will help them (NHS Charities Together) make a difference.

“Well done Gordon for this amazing achievement and a huge well done to everyone who donated for playing their part in helping this very worthy and great charity.”
