We recently had a batch of letters to send filing claims and legal papers on a county court for which we had a freepost plus address/code
and to keep all the cases separate in their own order sent them in individual envelopes
each one we put on a signed for label but with no postage under the freepost licence no.
in posting them the first 6 got there the day after signed for
14 got there the day after they were posted
but a batch dated 1st feb -of 6- did not land till the 10th feb
6 on saturday 8th landed on the 10th
i can understand them taking a few days but would there be a reason the 6 sent on feb 1st would take 10 days?
or just would they be randomly stuck in the bottom of a mail bag.
they dont appear to have been held for surcharge
the tracking before they were delivered on royal mail track n trace said "an update will be provided when we attempt delivery" as opposed to "the code is not recognised"

This might be the explanation, the amount of letters we find stuck/left in bags is quite high unfortunately...or just would they be randomly stuck in the bottom of a mail bag
At least in my office, that`s the case.
