Workplace Coach Tablet Trial
Dear Colleagues,
Branches will be aware that a trial on the use of Tablets by Workplace Coaches was communicated in LTB 311/17, in June 2017 (a copy of this LTB is attached for reference along with the Terms of Reference).
Following the conclusion of the trial activity, the business has informed the union that they have decided not to roll out this specific product.
In follow up discussions with the business, and on feedback from the trial sites, evidence showed that while some sites have demonstrated that there is an appetite to use tablets, the overall findings from the trial did not provide strong enough evidence to support a business case for a national roll out of tablet computers for workplace coaches at this current time.
This communication is to advise those Branches and locations where the tablets were trialed that it will now be Royal Mail’s intention to retrieve those tablets currently in the field for utilisation within another part of the business.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
