On average, 35 percent. During the Christmas period, the number of shipments increased in relation to neutral months, eg August. In the most intense week preceding Christmas, packages were 81% more than the average in the remaining weeks of 2017. In addition to courier parcels, shipments given as part of the POLECONY eCommerce Package were of particular interest. Poczta Polska also recorded record volumes of shipments sent outside our country. A special growth dynamics was observed in the case of shipments sent in China.

The click & collect service is gaining in popularity, thanks to which customers can pick up the ordered parcel at collection points, including post offices, Orlen gas stations, RUCH kiosks and lounges, as well as Żabka and Freshmarket stores. Ultimately, the click & collect network of Poczta Polska, already the largest in Poland, will expand to over 11,000 pick-up points.

Preparations for handling the holiday peak Poczta Polska started immediately after the summary of 2016, ie at the beginning of 2017. In October, the Monitoring Center was launched, whose main task was to coordinate the 14 postal sorting (WER) operations 24/7. In addition, the company employed over 1,500 people, and nearly 200 administration employees helped in handling parcels in post offices and post offices.
