MICK RYAN – FUNERAL ARRANGMENTS

We have been informed that Mick Ryan, a long term activist in the CWU/NCU/POEU, recently passed away.

Mick became a branch Officer in the 1970’s in London South Central External branch of the POEU, and eventually became Branch Chair, a post he held until 1993 when he became Chair of the newly merged Thames Central Branch. He was also Chair of the London Co-ordinating Committee for the new Personal Communications part of BT. In 1997 Mick became the Vice Chair of the Central London branch of NCU and retired in 1998 but remained active in the retired members section, following his receipt of the CWU Gold Badge. Unfortunately, a stroke brought to a halt his activities and he was then in need of care until his death.

His funeral arrangements are as follows:

The Mass will be at 10.00am followed by

The Cremation at 11.15am

Croydon Crematorium (East Chapel)

Mitcham Road

Surrey

CR9 3AT



Afterwards there will be a wake/celebration at Selhurst Park Stadium (Malcolm Allison Lounge) SE25 6PU. Everyone is especially welcome to the wake; however space may be limited at the funeral.
