7.5t and above...

Post by mattp1511 »

Hi everyone

Does anyone happen to know if theres a direct email or phone number for RM recruitment? I would love to be able to contact someone directly.

I'm a parcelforce delivery driver, so I'm stuck in a sprinter on a normal route, but I've just completed my Cat C license, I've got my CPC card and my digital tacho card all ready, and I'd really like to move over to RM 7.5t vans, maybe the bigger ones if the opportunity is there.

I hear RM is getting desperate for new drivers as all the guys with "grandfather rights" on their driving licenses will be retiring soon. I like to think I'm already an RM employee and am well suited to fill the role.

There's no advertised vacancies on the website (i figure perhaps that tells me something for now!) But i figure I'm already staff so perhaps it would be a simple transfer.

Id appreciate any input from anyone in the know!

Cheers everyone. Keep going, only 5 weeks to go!!

Good luck Matt, in my part of the country a lot of the 7.5t drivers are agency. It seems RM are happy to pay the agency rates rather than employ their own staff .That's how it appears to me anyway.
Perhaps delivery staff can say who drives their 7.5 / 17t vehicles ?
