pre employment checks

just been told ive been successful in my interview to become a postie. but they have to do pre employment checks, what does this involve

I am guessing but checking to see if you have a criminal record and check on your references and previous employers.

They're probably checking to see if you have socialist tendencies. Don't worry if you haven't. Within two months of putting up with Royal Mail managers, you will be a revolutionary.

Too true brother, RM must train ( ;liar ) their managers to be bullies, cheats and liars. In all the jobs I've had I have never seen anything like it :sad:
