CWU Website – volunteers for testing new site



Dear colleagues,

Following the results of the recent CWU website surveys, we are now in a position to report that we will be putting together a draft framework for the new site in the coming weeks.

The results, in the main confirmed our initial thoughts on the website. Whilst members generally found the site useful, many had issues with the search and navigational functions. Additionally, we have uncovered a huge amount of duplication on the site.

Moving forward, our ambition is to produce a far simpler site with a comprehensive search and navigation facility. In addition, the Home page will be far cleaner with a focus on providing the latest news and heavily promoting the ability for members to join the union online.

Once we move into the design phase for the site, we are very keen to engage branches, representatives and members in a testing process. With this in mind, could anyone who would be interested in testing the new site, to provide feedback, in advance of its formal launch, please get in touch with Marcia Murray mmurray@cwu.org

We are hopeful that the process of engaging with the respective arms of the union from the start to finish of this project will produce a website that is as fit for purpose as possible.
