Eligible full-time employees will receive around £125

At yesterday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM - see jargon buster) shareholders approved the final dividend payment of 15.1 pence per share for 2015-16.

This means eligible full-time employees with 832 Free Shares will receive a dividend of around £125 on 29 July 2016. They will have received around £183 (before tax) in dividends for 2015-16*.

Eligible part-time employees will receive a dividend based on their pro rata allocation of Free Shares. Eligible full-time employees who only received the SIP 2015 allocation will be paid a dividend based on their 103 Free Shares.

If you have received a dividend, it is being paid into the same bank account your salary is paid into.

By 29 July 2016, eligible full-time employees with 832 Free Shares will have received over £430 (before tax) in dividends since privatisation.**

it always makes me laugh when they always mention how much the staff have received in dividends when there is a payment due and how many shares they have , its funny how they don't mention what Moya and her cronies have received and how many shares they have milked out the the sale of royal mail , hhmm I wonder why ?

I would guess they are waiting till this final dividend is paid out to save them having to pay us more.

I was expecting them to get them out to us after the start of this financial year. Clearly they've not gone for that, so I'm starting to think it may be after the 15th October now. That way anyone who's left since the last tranche was given out, or who leaves before the 15th (when the first tranche becomes "ours", subject to tax) can have their shares "redistributed" to the rest of us. Of course, they might end up waiting until the next financial year at this point in order to collect any redistributions from the second tranche.

There are only so many shares in circulation, they are not issuing more shares to give us so they wouldn't actually be paying any more dividend to 'us', they are still paying dividend on every share, whoever they belong to. BTW, looks like moya has over 107k shares coming to her if we perform well against the ftse median, under a long term incentive plan, along with other directors. Where's our cut if we do well, that's what I want to know? Over to you, Mr union.

We're still due the 1% the government gave us
