The rest of the shares we're due
When are we getting the rest of our shares the government donated to us? Is this just a stalling tactic by the business so that we don't get more of a dividend in July? Surely they should have been added to our fund by now

The shares were supposed to have been transferred to RM by the end of the 15/16 tax year, then held in trust and given to us during 2016, so they’re not actually late yet. But I do agree with you that waiting until after July will mean paying out less in dividends.
Royal Mail wouldn’t do that would they?

My guess is that regardless of the fact it has already been stated that we will be getting a few more shares Royal Mail will bundle it into the pay deal to make it look better

Maybe Robert can answer this, seeing that RM disposed of the final shares at the end of the tax year, would I still be entitled to them if they are not allocated before I retire at the end of August?

If they're not allocated, you won’t get them. Simple as that.windermeredave wrote:Maybe Robert can answer this, seeing that RM disposed of the final shares at the end of the tax year, would I still be entitled to them if they are not allocated before I retire at the end of August?

A reference to the final share allocation is in the 'Financial Report for the full year ended 27 March 2016' which can be found at :-
http://www.royalmailgroup.com/sites/def ... 202016.PDF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The reference is on page 16 under 'Specific Items' and states :-
'For 2016-17 the Employee Free Shares charge is expected to be around £110 million, taking into account the further one per cent of Free Shares to be allocated in due course and an estimate of the level and mix of leavers.'
So actual date still remains unknown !
