Automatic enrolment:Legal pension requirement will affect certain eligible employees

If you’re not a member of a Royal Mail pension plan, you may be automatically enrolled into the Royal Mail Defined Contribution Plan (RMDCP) next year.

We are legally required to automatically enrol certain eligible employees into a workplace pension scheme every three years, if they meet certain criteria. This is even if they have previously opted out of (or are receiving pension benefits from) a Royal Mail pension plan.

What happens

In 2013, to comply with the law, Royal Mail Group automatically enrolled certain eligible employees into the RMDCP. From January 2016, we must automatically enrol, or re-enrol, certain eligible employees into this pension plan.

If you are not currently a member of a Royal Mail pension plan, you may be enrolled into the RMDCP on the expected enrolment date of 11 January 2016.

More information

From today, we are writing to all employees (aged between 22 and their State Pension Age) who are not a member of a Royal Mail pension plan. They will receive a letter and more information about pension automatic enrolment at their home address.

If you are affected, you do not need to take any action at this stage. Further information will follow in January 2016.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
