question about the annual keeping you posted newsletter
Hi , just wondering if anyone can give me an answer on this ? I worked for the company for nearly 10 years then left and returned after 5 years elsewhere. Ive been back just over 5 years now and the annual keeping you up to date thing we receive telling you pension contribution etc only includes my contributions since i returned. Should it not also include my contributions for my previous 10 years service too ? Also my wife worked for the company for just over 10 years but left approx 3 years ago but she receives nothing through the post , should she be doing ? Apologies if its a bit of a dumb question by my own admission im a complete duffer when it comes to pensions etc !! Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Assuming you actually paid in the pension at the time, you should have a deferred final salary pension(section c) from your past employment and I believe you should have been getting statements each year since you left. I should contact the pensions people and ask them why you haven’t been getting them: http://royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/102/contact-us" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;buntin wrote:Hi , just wondering if anyone can give me an answer on this ? Again she should have a deferred pension and should get an annual statement, I know of a couple of people who left years ago and get them! Have you moved house and not told them perhaps? Again contact the pensions service centre. Also my wife worked for the company for just over 10 years but left approx 3 years ago but she receives nothing through the post , should she be doing ?
