Even worth doing any shifts?

Hi,

From the letter they sent me it gave me the impression there were 2 shifts since I was never informed of the shifts that they actually do.

2200 - 0600
0600 - 2200

I booked a shift for a "6-10" but apparently, and now I guess obviously it was a 6pm to a 10pm.

This is my first shift, is it even worth wasting my time if I'm going to get irregular, 6pm-10pm, 10pm-6am?

This week alone there were one night & two 6pm-10pm in which I could only take 1 they explicitly said, it's hardly even going to scrape to reach 16 hours a week for JSA.

I think RM's policy of only offering a few hrs/week max is going to be harder than they think in the long term. We have some new starters on part time hours, but they usually only stay a few months until a full-time job, or even one which offers more than a bit here and there, appears for them elsewhere.

It means we are regularly training new starts for them to disappear a short while later. Couldn't blame them too, I'd have gone long ago if they hadn't increased my hrs as soon as they did.
