Re: toenail off..
Had both done a few years back, done while I was on a weeks leave and asked for a few days indoor when I came back which was no problem as my office had decent management. Full recovery to normal walking took 8 - 10 days from the op. You will need painkillers for a couple of days after the local anaesthetic wears off and try to walk as little as possible until it strike breakers over - maybe up to three days. Salt baths for your foot help the recovery and don't wear a tight shoe until healed up. The clinic doing the op may offer dressing changes or supply the kit and show you how to do it. It's not the nicest procedure you will ever have but well worth it to alleviate the discomfort of an ingrowing or damaged toenail - be grateful you are only having one done - good luck :)
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile
