V/r in supply chain
Can anybody tell me that if you opt for v/r when does the 12 week lieu of notice kick in and if it takes you past the date in March that the £1,400 is due to be paid do we qualify for payment , also then if it takes it past April 1 st do you get all holidays due ?.

Re: V/r in supply chain
hi chilli, i would like to know the answer as well to your query, i am also in the position that because of my age irrespective of length of service then i would get roughly 13 months wages if i were to leave end feb as i have stated 1 months wages being deducted for every year after reaching 64 and a half which i reached in april past, so the way i look at it if i go , then the quicker i can get away the better, as the minimum i would get is 12 months wages, therefore supposing it was end march i was to leave then i would, technically speaking be working those weeks for nothing as i could lift the same earnings sitting in the house if i was allowed to leave earlier, also i have 8 days holiday carried over from last year, if i dont take them, or take 3 days just now, will i be paid for the other week,

Hi Wardy, don't know if this is any good to you but I have just spoken to our manager with regards to the latest situation with VR and by the sound of it all new duties have been agreed at our office so the resign can go ahead soon and as soon as we have had a figure for VR we will be invited for a interview with a union solicitor in attendence because you will have to sign an some sort of agreement not sure what yet , with regards to time I was told 29 th march for the lieu of notice to begin but again this could change knowing the post office hope this helps .

hi chilli, does that mean that if the end of march starts the lieu of notice, does that mean that it will be well into april before leaving on vr and people could collect their £1,400 bonus [as they would still be in post] and would qualify for being paid for pro rata holidays for the new years holidays which come into force beginning of april 2015

As far as I can tell no we don't get the £ 1,400 that will only be payed when all the revision is done at end of April ,and no to holidays they will only pay you for any outstanding hols you have not taken
