LEEDS PDO

Post by aidy06 »

Hi, I'm expecting a parcel from abroad. It came into Langley on Christmas Eve, todays tracking details say:

27/12/14 09:31 UNDELIVERED27/12/14 LEEDS 1-5 PDO

Does anybody know what this will be? It just seems slightly unusual as I don't live in Leeds, I live in Bolton.
To me it seems as though the parcel was out for delivery today in Leeds and couldn't be delivered so has been taken back to their Postal Depot, or am I reading to much into this?

Thanks in advance for any info/help provided.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

That is the site I got the information from, the usual Royal Mail tracking is showing...

The reference number you have entered may be incorrect. Please check and try again. Find out more about tracking reference numbers.
Information on your International Signed item is not yet available.

It's just thrown me with the way it says that there was an unsuccessful delivery attempt in Leeds when that isn't where I live.

Thanks again

Thanks for your reply, that's what I was thinking but would it really say that there was an unsuccessful delivery attempt made?

it is possible they used the 'undelivered' when they should have used the 'delivery not attempted'

It is not often we use that one to be fair!

They should have used the option for Missorted.

@aidy06 could you please post all the tracking entries?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm not at my computer at the moment but I do have this screenshot of the tracking entries from 'Trackitonline', please see attached...

Im still non the wiser, sounds like an actual delivery was attempted somewhere in Leeds. If you or anybody can shed any light on this then that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Morning, tracking has now been updated to say that my item is being held in Leeds after an unsuccessful delivery attempt and I have to collect it from the PDO.

This is really strange and quite worrying, is there anybody I can contact to see what's happened?

Thanks

Might be worth giving Leeds PDO a ring in-case there is something they can do. Contact the sender to double-check they've got the whole of your address correct

The sender sent me photos of the package, my address is as clear as day on the front of it.

I don't know what has happened, I will have to try and call them up today.

Thanks

Hi, I spoke to the very helpful guys on Twitter and they in turn have spoke to the staff at Leeds PDO. They located the parcel but it doesn't have my address on it, they say it's addressed to an address in Leeds.

Seller has sent me photos of receipts and labels that show my address on them, I'm at a loss as to what has happened.

Its possible that they have used a cloned tracking number, its relatively rare but China/HK are the 2 biggest areas that it does happen and the former russian republics such as Belorussia are probably in 3rd.

You might still get it okay, the perpetrators of cloned tracking save money by sending 1 item tracked and say 10 to 20 by normal post.

Your sender might not even be a cloner, he may have fallen foul of one though.
