D2D Obligations

Post by Joe237 »

Hi,

I was just curious whether Angard staff are obligated to prep/deliver D2D's? Been working for a couple of months now and generally I will get some done but as I receive no supplement for delivering them and am moved around the office on an almost daily basis, I was just wondering whether it is part of my duty to deal with them.

Anyone have any idea?

Yes you are obligated to do anything (within reason) that an employers asks.

Just for clarification. The delivery Supplement is not for delivering D2Ds so its best to divorce any connection between the 2 for your own peace of mind.

Even if there was a connection unless you are AWR qualified the Agency (Angard) does not have to pay you the same as the hirers (RM) staff according to the law. Not morally right but unfortunately legally correct.

Can I ask what are D2D's ?

Also is there somewhere that has a list of list of all the acronyms that are used? I have wondered for months what TSO stands for. Even. Regular who worked it didn't know when I asked him

GLOSSARY OF TERMS USED WITHIN ROYAL MAIL http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 57&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

D2D Door to Door . Un-addressed advertising mail.

TPO = Travelling Post Office - so TSO could be Travelling Sorting Office - like the train in the Great Train Robbery.

TSO - Could Also be Town Sub Office as I have seen it mentioned around Post Offices.

Don't know what the official answer is as I suspect it depends on the context.
