Is this true, I was talking to a manager from another office yesterday and he informed me that Royal Mail employees were able to buy £10,000 worth of extra shares if they wanted to and that everyone knew about it, whereas most private investors were only able to get £5,000. I for one didn't.

Yes - it was all in the bumph they sent out about privatisation and shares. Will go looking for a link and repost them.

All private investors had there limit set at £750 even if they applied for 10000
