Hello guys,
I won an item off eBay and the seller shipped it from the UK to me (USA) by Royal Mail International Signed For. Their target shipping time is 7 days.
My item was shipped on the 28th and the status has been the same since. "... has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas. "
Why is my item not leaving the mail centre? I know it was just the weekend, but it's still ridiculous that they haven't bothered to ship it out since it will have been 3-4 business days now.
hers's a more detailed information:
28/03/13 17:32 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC SIGNED FOR ROAD 3 TYNESIDE MAIL CENTRE
28/03/13 17:30 COLLECTED TYNESIDE MAIL CENTRE
So the parcel hasn't moved since 28th of March from what I can see, and it seems like it is stuck on a truck somewhere.. Is there any possibilites that the parcel may have been lost, forgotten, etc.? I would be glad if any of you guys had experienced the same, or if anyone knows if this is normal?
Thanks so much in advance!

Re: 'International Signed For' package sitting at internatio
It's probably sat at HWDC awaiting shipment abroad if it's not already gone. It won't be sat on a lorry anywhere, it might not have been scanned at HWDC or they're dealing with a back log due to mail volumes, lack of staff and the fact we've had a long bank holiday weekend inbetween then and now.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

Re: 'International Signed For' package sitting at internatio
Friday March 29th and Monday April 2nd are NOT normal business days. They're Bank Holidays.
Given that it was posted around a double bank holiday weekend it may well have been received at HWDC and despatched to your country without a scan - it does happen that in times of very high volumes some scans are missed. Alternatively it may be sat in a big backlog as we struggle to keep up with the volumes coming in.
It won't be stuck on the back of a truck somewhere, it'll be in process. It isn't lost, forgotten etc - wait at least till it is at the end of the delivery timescale.
