Can we read anything into the fact that there was no mention of privatisation in the budget?
Some sections of the media thought there may have been a announcement in this budget,maybe things arent going as smoothly as they first thought?

I don't think so. If it is going ahead as expected, and Osbourne left it out knowing this, it is likely they just wanted to avoid any possibility of negative press, they'll get enough of that as it is. There is still plenty to be sorted out in relation to privatisaion, so they probably decided to leave it out and not base any figures on it, as they will be expecting some sort of fight with the union, and hence delays. It may be in part due to them announcing last year the 4G sell off and basing figures on that, only for it not to raise as much as they predicted. Possibly just wanted to avoid another similar mistake.
