How to Figure Out the Shipping Cost to Me?

I receive packages from UK by Royal Mail, how can I find out how much their shipping costs? Many times there are no marks/stamps or hand written amount on them.

Mail which has come through the RM will most times have stamps or a postage label showing the value of the postage paid. sometimes there are customer produced labels which may just show the weight of the item but not the cost of the mail service, it would seem in those intstances the only way is to weigh the item, confirm the weight on the label and confer with a price list.
this latter process is one which may gve the sending customer a choice but which has a detrimental effect on the viability of their local post office where they will likely dump the mail for collection by RM rather than pay RM to collect the mail.

items sent via parcelforce will not have prices shown unless its the basic non trackable services used.
