Uniform?

Hi guys and girls.

So I start my 3 month contract on Valentines day, had my contract, all my information, called up and told that
I cannot order uniform as my contract is only for 3 months, even though I expect that to be a rolling contract from what I've heard.

So what do I do about uniform? Am I expected to provide my own? Footwear as well?
As they told me that after the 3 months, then I will be allowed to order some....

Not heard that before - they used to limit ordering until after 6 weeks when I started that was because so many quit in the first 2 weeks or so.

Footwear - yes you'll probably have to provide your own initially but I think the manager would probably order some for you if you are desperate. They may also provide a storm jacket for the wet weather although if I could I would wear my own.

Best advice is to have a word with your line manager and/or trainer when you start but take your own kit and be prepared for bad weather, its forecast.

My contract is the same as yours but my manager sorted me out with uniform within 2 weeks of starting.

Red fleece, storm jacket, lightweight shower jacket, waterproof bottoms, 2 pairs of trousers, 5 tops and a pair of boots. I've lost 4 pounds since I started so might need to ask the manager to order me some more trousers in a smaller waist size :)
