About 30 homes in Shrewsbury are receiving their post again after the Royal Mail lifted its boycott on deliveries following a dog attack.
Royal Mail has started delivering post to houses in Pulrose Walk in Reabrook but has said it will be monitoring the situation in a bid to protect staff.
Royal Mail chiefs had suspended deliveries to residents living in the street for nearly two weeks after one of its workers was threatened by a Staffordshire bull terrier.
The incident happened in Pulrose Walk on November 12, and according to Royal Mail bosses the same dog had bitten a postman about a year ago. During the suspension, residents had to pick up their post from the sorting office in Castlefields.
Val Bodden, Royal Mail spokeswoman, said: “We can confirm that deliveries to addresses in Pulrose Walk, Shrewsbury, re-commenced on Saturday. We will however be keeping an eye on the situation.”
One resident, who did not wish to be named, said today: “I am happy that post is being delivered again.”
