Don't understand where my parcel is or what to do

Post by n22alpha »

Hi guys my aunty sent us a parcel from India and it hasn't arrived in 7 weeks. My aunty put in the tracking number on the
IPS website (the delivery service they used is called IPS) and it says the parcel is at "LANGLEY HWDC" and also says
"Event type: Receive item at office of exchange (inb)".

Edit: Just to add on my relatives in india already asked IPS why we hadn't received the parcel and they said it had arrived in England and we had to make an enquiry in England as to where it is and why it hasn't arrived. They said there is nothing more
they could do.

What does all this mean?
Is my parcel going through customs or do I have to go somewhere to pick it up or something?
Who do I call about the parcel? Royal mail?

Thanks for any help guys.

Seven weeks essentially means it is lost, unfortunately as the recipient you cannot claim for it. You will need yo get the sender to make a claim with the Indian postal service who will get in contact with royal mail to try and locate the parcel.
