GUERNSEY POST made its last Saturday letter deliveries on the weekend.
In an effort to save around £400,000 a year, the States-owned utility announced in February it would no longer deliver mail on a Saturday.
The States agreed in October to amend its universal service obligation from a six-day delivery and collection week to five.
Mount Durand residents supported the move to stop Saturday letter deliveries.
Housewife Philippa Bruges said she felt her post could wait until Monday and she did not mind at all that the service had been stopped.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
