Newbie saying hello

Hi all, i would just like to say hello and tell you a story.

1-Applied for job passed all tests etc
2-Went for interview
3-Next day got email saying did not get job but put on waiting list
4-The next day had a phone call call saying i had the job, i told them about the email.
5-One hour later had another phone call saying i have not got the job(is this a record i had a job for an hour)
6-Two days later had phone call saying i have a job at a different branch(no problem with this as it is nearer home)
7-Two weeks later my online staus has just been updated to security checks passed
8-Now waiting for phone call

I am still worried about this as i have had nothing in writing and the orginisation leaves a lot to be desired
Sorry to have a moan on my first post but hopefully i have a job and can join you lot on the streets


Since writing this earlier i have had a phone call and i start on monday , what have i let myself in for

Nice one - quick word of warning the next 3 weeks may be a bit hectic as we have 4 bank holidays coming up and unfortunately we work the Saturdays in between but we get the same levels of mail as we would in a normal week - also with the elections/referendum coming up it will actually be busier than normal anyway.

So please don't despair over the next few weeks, as a new starter it will seem overwhelming but it will quieten down around early may.

Thanks for the advice, i did have the option to start in 4 weeks time but chose the earlier one, hopefully i can get through the first 4 weeks or so as i am a bit apprehensive,i have worked for P/force before so i have a bit of an insight how RM works
