Good turnout at that rally at the end by the look of it. TBH i think most postal workers are apathetic to the impact a large demo could have on weather or not RM should be privatised. Surely this is something the CWU should be looking at organising? This needs to be put in the public eye, RM is still a very large employer.at a guess 120,000 people work for them, they all have friends and family some of whom may also support it.Look im not naive enough to suggest you could get numbers anywhere near that but lets be honest, once privatisation occurs, our terms and conditions, not to mention the service the public recieve will be whittled away. Its a real threat. One that the members need force feeding into them because such a large proportion are like ostriches, with little idea that privatising the post will have a massive effect on them.
Set a date, lay on free transport down to London and get the numbers involved that will get this on the bloody news. Get 30,000 there march on Old Street, lob some D2Ds through the windows and batter the doors down with HCTS! Sky news will have rolling coverage! (not advocating a riot btw it was an attempt at humour) Its got to be worth a try. CWU big knobs over to you. :dcfo :ncfo :vcfo

Quite surreal really, i was listening to that track on the comp as i was reading about privitising RM and Bang!.

Without a doubt, the CWU topdogs need to do more to get our fight into the public domain.
It is very worrying, that the majority of my customers are completely ignorant of the facts regarding privitisation.
Even more worrying. is the fact that this situation is replecated throughout the country.
For far to long, the CWU have played along with RM,hoping to get a place at the top table.
Well they succeded, and what a shambles we have been left with,(2010 agreement).
What we need,is the CWU to grow a pair, and give us(the public) the truth.
