The CWU have vowed to validate their ballot at another time, and in a way which will not impact on services to the public and business customers.
It's been confirmed in the last hour that the last ditch talks between the Post Office and the Communication Workers Union have ensured there will be no strike action as planned next Tuesday.
Chief Executive Mike Kelly has said they have successfully agreed a framework with the CWU, which will help explore ways to resolve the current dispute.
The CWU have vowed to validate their ballot at another time, and in a way which will not impact on services to the public and business customers.
Both parties have conceded that there still needs to be future talks to overcome difficult challenges that lie ahead, but both have said they are committed to finding a solution.
