Yesterday's Postal Workers union meeting failed to produce a definitive start for strike action.
Yesterday's Postal Workers meeting with their union failed to produce a definitive start for strike action.
The Communication Workers Group held the meeting to keep their members upto date with the current situation.
A ballot showed overwhelming support to industrial action over the ongoing pay dispute; despite this there is still a desire from both the workers and the union rep to find a solution.
Post Office Chairman Alan Crowe MLC is inviting talks with the CWU but is failing to budge on their current public sector pay freeze stance.
Union rep Terry Pullinger told 3FM that they have been offered a meeting, and it's outcome would hinge on whether or not strike action will be necessary.
He said if there is no change by Post Office bosses by next week, the union will validate the ballot and there will be strike action.
