Sri Lanka postal employees to protest tomorrow

Mar 10, Colombo: Sri Lanka Postal and Telecommunication Services Union says that the postal workers of the country will launch a protest campaign tomorrow.

The secretary of the union Chinthaka Bandara stated that the demand of the postal employees is to systematize the management of the Postal Department.

The main agitation will be held before the Postal Department headquarters tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.

Demonstrations are also to be held in Kandy, Kurunegala, Chilaw, Galle, Matara, Anuradhapura, and Badulla.

Twenty trade unions of the Postal Department will participate in the protest, said the Secretary adding that stern action would be initiated unless the demands are granted.
