LTB 028/11
Dear Colleague,
"Keep the Post Public" -
National March and Rally - Saturday 22nd January 2011 - Kingston upon Thames
Assemble 12 noon - Fairfield Recreation Ground
Further to LTB 1023/10 we now write to give further information about the Union's National March and Rally to be held in Kingston Upon Thames on Saturday 22nd January 2011.
As you may know the two Ministers responsible for the legislation to privatise Royal Mail are Members of Parliament representing constituencies in this area:- Mr Ed Davey Minister for Postal Services and MP for Kingston and Surbiton; and Mr Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and the MP for Twickenham.
Having very successfully taken the KTPP campaign to David Cameron's Witney constituency on Sunday 9th January 2011 - it is now the turn of those Government Ministers responsible for drawing up the Postal Services Bill.
Attached to this LTB is a map of Kingston Upon Thames which contains the march route, details of how to get to Kingston and the assembly point at Fairfield Recreation Ground. Should your branch or region be transporting members via Minibus or Coach we would ask you to notify Chris Tapper, Events Manager at ctapper@cwu.org
We need to make a huge impression on the streets of Kingston and we would ask all branches to help us make this, the most well attended national march and rally ever seen in the Union!! Further information, leaflets etc. will be issued in due course.
Any enquiries on this event should be addressed to the General Secretary's office.
Yours sincerely
W HAYES D WARD
General Secretary Deputy General Secretary (P)

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
