When talking about this issue, it is important that we be polite, respectful and clear. We need our MPs to hear our message: We want you to back amendments to the bill to safeguard our postal service.

Introduce yourself and tell them what town, city, or village you live in. Tell them you are counting on them to support the Royal Mail and your postal service by voting for two amendements to the Postal Services Bill on 12 January.

An increase in mail prices, a decrease in services, and Post Office closures are at stake. Make sure your MP hears from you before they vote.

I'm calling to let you know that I'm counting on __________ (your MP's name) to vote for two amendments to the Postal Services Bill on 12 January to protect the Royal Mail and our postal service.

I want __________ (your MP's name) to support the amendments tabled by Brian Binley and Bob Russell - to help safeguard the future of our valued postal service. Please pass my message on. If you are already opposing the bill you have my thanks.
