Hello there ^^
Now... my friend lives in America, and for the past five years she and I have constantly sent items and letters back and forth. It would usually take a week at the most to get there or get here. She posed an item to me at the beginning of December to g et here on the 20th of December, and there's absolutely no sign of it. It HAS to be in the UK by now, so where is the international mail 'stuck'? :h I heard that the mail centre at Heathrow was kind of clogged up; how is that looking now? I can't stay inside waiting for a package any more :h I have things I need to do but... I don't want to miss it because our posties enjoy leaving parcels on the doorstep ._. and I'd rather this wasn't left there.
If it helps I'm in the SY21 Mid-wales area :p, we seem to have got all our xmas post and we got some bills today dated a few days ago(lovely! :D) so I don't think the issue is around here but :h I have no clue how any of this works.

It's probably over here somewhere,but in a backlog.She posed an item to me at the beginning of December to g et here on the 20th of December
That's not much help to you but there is still a backlog,especially parcels,in a lot of the UK.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: International Mail
An update;
A parcel from Korea which I ordered about 12 days ago came yesterday, and a package I ordered from America last Wednesday arrived today. The package I'm expecting from America which was supposed to be here on the 20th of December... there is no sign of it!
I am more than a little annoyed now, because there was a large amount of sentimental value within it :( and my friend is upset that it's also gone missing. Is there still some mail that needs to be moveD? Like it's at the bottom of the pile?

I don't know for certain, whether your area is affected. But there are still backlogs in some areas. They are shrinking, so the end is in sight. But it'll take a while longer to get rid of all of them.

Re: International Mail
Have you been to ask at the Callers Office at Welshpool Delivery Office to ask if they know of any backlogs there or Shrewsbury ?
