GOOD
Good...thats what we want ...if we don't keep relentlessly pressurising RM , they will catch up the backlog and then out 2 week action will be for nothing....we'll have to start again
RM upper management don't give a F**k about us......Profit is all they care about.....They'd sack 40,000 tomorrow if they could and still sleep sound at night- telling themselfs it all for the best......never mind what the consiquences for the sacked posties are

I was sure I'd seen a bead of sweat on my line manager the other day - Until I realised that he had just brushed past me too close

Good move by the union. It's a move to call RM's bluff when they meet at ACAS tomorrow.
RM would bullshit CWU by returning to the table for negotiations until the backlog was cleared, then turn round and come the we've got no money chestnut.
I hope the CWU pressure RM into producing the full year figures tomorrow. They should have been out yesterday.
LEIGHTON, CROZIER, PRODUCE THE FIGURES NOW SO WE CAN SEE HOW MUCH PROFIT WE'VE ACTUALLY MADE

"The company has called for a return to negotiations but has warned unions that fundamental changes are needed if it is going to survive in a fully competitive market"
> if this is correct that they have called for Negotiations, that's a change in their stance, and we are all aware that there must be change, BUT WE DO NOT LIKE TO BE TREATED LIKE IDIOTS, AND WE DON`T LIKE TO BE BULLIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by Al and partner!

The company has called for a return to negotiations but has warned unions that fundamental changes are needed if it is going to survive in a fully competitive market.
Do I detect a very slight softening of RM's previous stance ? Notice they are not now using the same old 'we remain ready to talk to the union to explain our position' phrase. They're not many words short of saying 'we still believe in the urgent need to modernise, but let's talk about how we are going to bring this in, in a negotiated way'.
STAND FIRM EVERYONE !!
