Panama’s 800 postal workers are poised to call a strike over the privatization of the service, mooted by President Ricardo Martinelli.

The employees of the national service COTEL will decide on Saturday (November 20).

Ismael Ruiz, President of the COTEL Employees Association, said that, so far, the future employment status of the postal workers is not clear.
