Freedom of Information Act. ( FOIA ) Dog Attacks.

Post by Thunderthighs »

Hi,
I've noticed information by the N.Ireland Police regarding the Freedom of Information Act and "Dog Attacks".

As this is a "pet" subject of mine, can I use the FOIA to obtain from Royal Mail :
1. The total amount of Dog Attacks on postal delivery workers, say for the last 5 yrs.

2. The way that Dog Attacks are Categorised/Assessed/Dealt with by RM Managers/Investigators etc.

3. The amount of sickness/hours lost to RM due to Dog Attacks.

4. How many successful prosecutions RM have had against Dog owners.

5. How many Dog Attacks have lead to RM issuing "Stage Warnings" to Staff, as result of sickness inccurred.

6. How the RM "Accident Investigation Dept" compiles, records and files Dog Attack information.

As this will probably personally affect me soon, and the outcome of an Accident due to a Dog, recorded/reported as an "INCIDENT" by RM managers, I am very eagr to obtain as much information as possible to conduct a robust defence.
THANKS.

Health and safety my arse it took 7 weeks to go out and see the owner of a dog that bit the floater on my walk but only 3 days to come and see me when a test letter never came back turned out to be a holiday home. :mfo

Shouldna knock health and safety and in reality there was no requirement for anybody to go out and see the owner of the dog as the standard RM letter DOG1 or DOG2 should have been sent.
