A BUSINESS mailing company aims to increase its activity in Merseyside after gaining a Postal Licence for fully-addressed letters, brochures and packages.

Product Development Corporation (PDC) has 25 years experience in the unaddressed market, such as directories, newsletters and fliers.

Its new licence means it can provide a ‘final mile’ delivery service for mailing campaigns.

PDC has operated a depot in Warrington for 10 years and pledges every delivery it gains will be delivered by local staff.

It estimates it has injected more than £500,000 into the local economy over the past decade and PDC managing director Simon Raine said: “The award of a Postal Licence heralds a new era for PDC and gives us a great opportunity to take advantage of the postal market.

“While we don’t intend to compete with Royal Mail for individually posted items, there is an opportunity in the bulk mail market to offer a cost effective ‘final mile’ alternative for both the public sector and private companies”.

Small fry then, that's only £50k per year and for a 'big' publisher that just doesn't ring true.

Although it's local news reporting so it's probably littered with mistakes
